Blog 01: Brain Sharts, Mind Vomit and Japanese Blood Splatter Horror

Hi folks! Stabby McKnife here. Welcome to horrorfan's first blog post. I wanna keep this interesting so I wont ramble on about the basics of this new site or new blog. The subject of this entry is going to be something near and dear to my heart (and cock).......Japanese Horror Films! Specifically ones with a shit ton of arterial blood spray! Yay!

I know this is a sort of a niche genre but ya know what? The more assholes like me that talk about it, the more fans it is likely to get.

You've got access to the internet and google.com...right? (duh how else would you be reading this, telepathy?) Well here are some movie titles for you to google. Some Japanese Horror movie titles.

There. That should get you pointed in the right direction. These are some of the best Japanese horror titles if you like your films heavy on the blood spray, decapitations, gratuitous violence, hot japanese chicks, gross out stuff, etc.

I put The Machine Girl, Zombie Ass and Mutant Girl Squad at the top of the list for a reason. I feel like those are the best Japanese exploitation horror-esque movies out there right now. If you actually google these flicks and do a bit of research on them you may notice that they are directed by the same guy: Noboru Iguchi. In fact he directed many of the titles I listed here.

I'm a huge Noboru Iguchi fan. If you go to imdb.com and search for his name you can see his filmography. Almost everything he has made is worth checking out. His movies are kind of hard to come by though. Your best bet is to purchase them online. Most of them won't be available in stores. (you may find Dead Sushi in some Best Buys if you are super lucky)

I love Japanese culture. It's so neat. They have all kind of weird sicko fetishes and cultural quirks. I also enjoy Japanese architecture. I'd love to visit Tokyo one day. Perhaps I shall.

I love a few other things Japanese as well. Anime and Manga. That's right. I'm a fucking nerd. So what? There is some neat shit in the world of Anime and Manga. Dragon Ball Z is probably the anime that most Americans are familiar with....and rightfully so. It's an awesome show. Easily one of the best action/fighting cartoons ever made.

I'm also into super obscure anime and manga. But I won't get into that here. I'm trying to keep this site, and also this blog mostly horror related.

Not much else I wanna say on the subject of Japanese Horror at the moment. Just know that I love it and I will frequently feature Japanese horror related things on this site. pics, trailers, news and reviews whenever I can. But yeah.
