Welcome Boys and whores to another edition of.......my shitty blog that no one reads! I am Stabby McKnife and I'll be your host for these ghoulish rumblings of a broken mind....let's begin shall we?
So this is my first blog entry of this "new" year 2015. I waited until 2/26/15 to make it because I am lazy as fuck. Also since there are only probably 3 or 4 people that will eventually read this....I'm in no rush.
Not much has happened in the horror movie scene yet in 2015 so I'm going to be talking about slightly old news but it needs to be discussed: the resurgence of Horror Anthologies.
I've seen quite a few very well made horror anthologies in the last four years but i want to discuss the two franchises who have truly made a name for the horror anthology format: THE ABC'S OF DEATH and V/H/S.
So far there are two ABC movies and three V/H/S ones. Both franchises have been very orginal, creepy and super duper graphically violent. my cup of tea pre-cisely!!!
The first v/h/s film was good. not great but good. it was original and fun, though. more importantly it lead to one of the BEST modern horror movies of the last 5 years......V/H/S 2. V/h/s 2 was everything you could want in a horror movie. I refuse to discuss what any of these films are about because it would be to do them a disservice. not only for fear of spoilers but for the fear of not being able to accurately describe the films perfectly enough to relay to you. my dear "constant readers" the epic-ness that these films contain therein.
But I digest....(human flesh)....what was I saying? (typing?) ah yes. the bottom line is this....if you are a fan of well made, orginal fun horror movies then you will enjoy the ABC'S of death and the V/H/S franchises. you would be a true asshole to call yourself a horror fan without checking out these films.
anyways....that's all for now, horror-heads. this has been your corpse-fucking host Stabby Mcknife. until next time, excelsior!!!!!
